Our Mission

The Black Authors Book Expo is committed to providing visibility to published authors of color in all genres and styles. Contrary to typical book fairs, the expo provides a unique opportunity for African American authors of all ages to promote and present their work up close and personal with the community. Our intent is to highlight and support the important contributions from a diverse range of black authors in the area. We endeavor to cultivate a family-friendly environment where literacy is encouraged and culture is celebrated.
